Conveniently located behind Newcastle Airport on Coach Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne, you will find Hawthorn Boarding Kennels and Cattery.

Hawthorn Boarding Kennels has been been caring for our furry friends for years and we have built a reputation to be proud of. Our staff are caring, loyal, trained and experienced, most working with animals for no less than 5 years and having pets of their own. They are always here to help and dedicate their time to providing your pets with excellent care.

If your dog enjoys playtime with other dogs, he/she will have fun chasing balls and making new friends. If not, then he/she can enjoy one to one time with one of our staff.

We have a 2 acre field area, a secure agility area / compound and a new all weather dog run, which is around 200m2. We are also opposite the Havannah Nature Reserve, so there is a great variety if exercise available. We also have a dog wash room, why not book your dog in for a bath and blow dry for just £20.

Our newly renovated indoor cattery has 12 spacious and individually designed rooms, with temperature and humidity controls to keep your cat(s) comfortable. Each room has a variety of activities to keep your cats entertained.

If you have more than one pet, we offer a discount if they are in the same kennel/room. We have 24 hour CCTV and the owners live on the premises so you can rest assured your pet will be safe.

Our Maintenance Team

Our maintenance team looks after all the kennels, cattery rooms, dog exercise areas, field - everything within the boundaries of our 2.5 acre site. We have thousands of dogs and cats stay with us each year, our maintenance team ensures everything keeps running (and that the grass is cut!).
